joystick is connected via the black USB2 ports (tried both and the one on the case front too) on the mainboard (not the KB+M ports on the top) Scraping the drivers and Saitek from the OS did not help
SAITEK X52 PRO DRIVERS WINDOWS 10 DRIVER
Same issue with old and new Saitek drivers, after installing the driver via the During driver installation, no Saitek folders are created, the control panel only appears when SST is installed too There are no errors in the system log regarding the issue after this the windows system partition is not recognized, have to repair mbr with system repair After the system locks out, I have to do a hard reboot. System hanging when using the joystick (specifically - playing Elite) The symptoms I'm getting, when using the Saitek controller are: Like the previous posters noted it does not seem to be an issue with the MB, but since the Saitek forums ale locked and this topic comes up in google search I though I'll describe my experiences here. This is definitely not a BIOS or motherboard issue and, to be honest, not a joystick issue (works in Win 8) I'm, as FSX gamers, in unpleasant position with this "USB 3.0 issue" because I'm already invested big money - Saitek X52 Pro, TrackIR, lot of add-on aircrafts and, of coarse, current rig - Sabertooth Z87, Asus GTX 760.Īgain, for now I'll stay on Windows 7 despite fact that I'm losing USB 3.0 functionality because Intel has made lousy driver for Win 7.

Other main disadvantage for FSX users is more rigid security restrictions in Windows 8 - Trusted Installer now "owns" Program Files folders despite fact that maybe you will turn off UAC.įor proper work FSX in Windows 8 must be installed outside Program Files. Someones says that build 9600 is compatible but I'll wait to see.

For example FSX isn't compatible with Windows 8.1 Preview. On other hand for me and you Windows 7 is best option (for now) to play FSX. Yes, this is definitely driver issue because problem isn't presented in Windows 8 which has MS USB 3.0 driver, not Intel.
SAITEK X52 PRO DRIVERS WINDOWS 10 UPDATE
They advise me to make BIOS update and I will post results here Thank you all for your help and I'm sorry for the confusion that I might bring here. I will tell him that problem was Intel driver and incompatibility with Windows 7. It is interesting that today I got an offer/advise for RMA by Asus tech support. I've noticed someone on this forum with similar problem with same joystick but I can't remember where (it was Rampage model)
SAITEK X52 PRO DRIVERS WINDOWS 10 INSTALL
I've backed up W7 installation with Acronis and performed clean install of Win 8.Īfter installation (Win 8) I've just installed Intel chipset, LAN, Intel MEI and joystick drivers + demo of Flight Simulator X and.

Next logical step was trying to install Windows 8. Normally, without USB 3.0 driver, I've lost USB 3.0 functionality. After this, with enabled xHCI, I was able to use all USB ports without system freeze. To this discovery I came after I've uninstalled Intel USB 3.0 driver in Windows 7 and after that I've enabled xHCI in BIOS. It seems that (Microsoft) Windows 8 has better USB 3.0 driver than Intel. It seems that the biggest confusion for me was that the problem was present in BIOS. I'm obliged to say that the problem is not presented in Windows 8 and not in BIOS. However, AI Suite can control these fans but 60% is lower limit or 4500 rpm, beyond this fan simply wont run.

Duty Cycle is 60 <<<< this is greyed out and I can't change value, In fact when I change values in others the revert back to default immediately I can't change anything in Upper and Lower Limits for these fansĪSST Fan Min. I've noticed that I can't manually assign rules for ASST fans. When joystick is still present in port I can enter to BIOS but there I haven't mouse and keyboard and, again, I must reset.įor temporary solution I've disabled xHCI in BIOS which means that all USB port will operate at USB 2.0 (I'm I correct?)ĭo I have or must update BIOS to newer version? Asking thisbecause board is runing great in every aspect. Hello, I have this board with 1007 BIOS and when I plug this joystick in USB 2.0 port system hangs - mouse wont move and keyboard is not responding.
